About Mark Nowotarski, Reg. No. 47828

Mark Nowotarski is a registered US patent agent specializing in business method strategies. He is the author of the “Surviving Alice” series on Bilski blog, a regular contributor to IP Watchdog and a former editor of the Insurance IP Bulletin. Mark has a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Sciences and Engineering Physics from Princeton University.  https://www.linkedin.com/in/marknowotarski/.

As a patent agent dealing primarily in the mechanical arts, I was hesitant to assist a repeat client with a software-related invention. Mark dealt with both myself and the client, providing concrete strategies to best position the application to avoid a 101 rejection. After filing, the application was classified in an art unit with very few post-Alice 101 rejections. Thanks, Mark!
